04Where Information Comes From
- Directly from you, such as information entered during checkout, account registration, support, reviews, or subscriptions.
- Automatically from your device or browser, through cookies, logs, pixels, scripts, tags, local storage, security tools, and similar technology.
- From service providers, including payment, fraud-prevention, hosting, analytics, advertising, email, security, logistics, and customer-support providers.
- From suppliers, carriers, and marketplaces, including product, order, shipment, authorization, and fulfillment information made available through approved dashboards, feeds, or APIs.
- From public or commercially available sources, where lawful and relevant to fraud prevention, product research, business operations, or legal compliance.
05How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the store.
- Create and manage accounts, carts, wish lists, preferences, and checkout sessions.
- Accept, verify, process, fulfill, ship, track, cancel, return, exchange, or refund orders.
- Communicate about orders, payments, deliveries, support requests, policy changes, security, and account activity.
- Source products, maintain catalog content, monitor availability and pricing, and coordinate with suppliers and fulfillment systems.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, scraping, spam, credential attacks, payment misuse, malicious automation, and other security threats.
- Measure traffic, store performance, advertising effectiveness, conversion, customer experience, and technical reliability.
- Personalize content, remember settings, recommend products, and manage optional marketing where permitted.
- Comply with tax, accounting, recordkeeping, consumer-protection, platform, contractual, court, and government requirements.
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and enforce our Terms and policies.
06Legal Bases Where Required
Where GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more legal bases depending on the context:
- Contract: to provide checkout, orders, accounts, support, returns, and requested store services.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the store, prevent fraud, understand performance, improve service, manage suppliers, and protect our business and customers.
- Consent: where required for optional cookies, marketing, personalized advertising, or other optional processing.
- Legal obligation: for tax, accounting, consumer, safety, fraud, legal-process, and regulatory requirements.
07Cookies and Similar Technologies
Value Yoga and its providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, and similar technologies to operate the store, preserve carts and sessions, remember preferences, secure checkout, prevent fraud, measure performance, and support advertising.
Common categories
- Essential: login, cart, checkout, account, security, load balancing, fraud prevention, and core operation.
- Preference: language, region, display choices, and remembered settings.
- Analytics and performance: page views, events, conversion, errors, speed, and audience trends.
- Advertising and attribution: ad delivery, measurement, frequency limits, campaign attribution, and personalization where permitted.
You may control many cookies through browser or device settings and any consent controls we make available. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account, cart, checkout, security, or order features from working correctly.
08Analytics, Advertising, and Marketing
We may use analytics and advertising services to understand traffic, improve the store, measure campaigns, serve ads, limit repeated ads, and understand whether visitors complete actions such as viewing products or placing orders.
These providers may receive device, cookie, IP, page, referral, interaction, conversion, and advertising identifiers. Depending on your location and the technology used, some activity may be considered targeted advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, “sharing,” or “sale” under certain privacy laws.
Examples of store technologies and provider categories currently used or expected to be used include WordPress and WooCommerce, Google tag-management or advertising/measurement services, Cloudflare and Wordfence security services, and form, email, hosting, payment, and logistics providers. The exact provider mix may change as the store is maintained.
Optional marketing emails may be sent when you request them or when otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the method included in those messages. Transactional, account, security, and order communications are not marketing and may still be sent when necessary.
09Payments and Financial Data
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. Those providers may collect payment-card, bank, wallet, billing, identity, device, and fraud-prevention information under their own privacy terms.
Value Yoga generally receives confirmation, transaction identifiers, payment status, method type, masked details, risk results, and information needed for orders, refunds, disputes, and accounting—not the full payment-card number.
10Suppliers, Marketplaces, Fulfillment, and AliExpress APIs
Value Yoga may source, catalog, purchase, or fulfill products through third-party suppliers, marketplaces, logistics providers, and approved integrations. These may include services within the AliExpress or Alibaba ecosystem.
How marketplace or API data may be used
- Discover and evaluate products available for lawful resale.
- Import or maintain product identifiers, descriptions, images, attributes, pricing, inventory, seller, shipping, and logistics information.
- Place, manage, reconcile, support, and track supplier or fulfillment orders.
- Receive authorization, token, order, shipment, and error information needed for an approved integration.
- Detect duplicate, unavailable, restricted, inaccurate, risky, or unsuitable products.
When a supplier or logistics provider needs customer information to fulfill an order, we may provide the minimum reasonably necessary information, such as recipient name, shipping address, telephone number, selected product, and order or delivery instructions. Those parties may process that information in other countries and under their own legal obligations.
Information obtained through an AliExpress, Alibaba, or similar approved integration is used for authorized commerce purposes such as product discovery, catalog creation, pricing and stock maintenance, purchasing, order management, fulfillment, logistics, customer support, reconciliation, security, and platform compliance. We do not rent or sell non-public marketplace data as a standalone data product, use integration credentials for unrelated profiling, or knowingly disclose access tokens, API keys, or other non-public credentials.
11How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Hosting, content-delivery, security, anti-fraud, bot-control, backup, and infrastructure providers.
- Payment processors, checkout providers, financial institutions, tax providers, and fraud-prevention services.
- Suppliers, marketplaces, purchasing agents, warehouses, fulfillment partners, carriers, customs agents, and delivery providers.
- Email, messaging, support, form, review, analytics, advertising, and marketing providers.
- Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, accountants, and legal counsel.
- Government agencies, courts, law enforcement, regulators, or others when required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, systems, or users.
- A buyer, investor, lender, successor, or adviser in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the business.
We do not sell a standalone customer list for cash. Certain advertising or analytics disclosures may nevertheless be defined as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under some laws.
12International Processing and Transfers
Value Yoga serves customers and works with providers, suppliers, marketplaces, and carriers in multiple countries. Information may therefore be processed outside your state, province, country, or region, including places with different privacy laws.
Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards such as contracts, data-processing terms, standard contractual clauses, adequacy mechanisms, provider commitments, or other lawful transfer methods.
13Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including:
- Accounts: while active and for a reasonable period after closure or inactivity.
- Orders and payments: as needed for fulfillment, returns, warranties, disputes, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, audits, and legal obligations.
- Support and communications: generally for up to 24 months, or longer when needed for a continuing issue, dispute, safety, abuse, or legal matter.
- Reviews and public content: until removed, anonymized, moderated, or no longer useful.
- Security logs: for a limited operational period, with suspicious or material events retained longer when reasonably necessary.
- Supplier and API records: for integration operation, reconciliation, order support, platform compliance, security, and auditing.
- Backups: until overwritten or deleted through the normal backup cycle.
14Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. Depending on the system, these may include HTTPS, access controls, network and application firewalls, bot and rate controls, monitoring, payment tokenization, software updates, backups, least-privilege access, and security logging.
No website, plugin, server, marketplace, payment system, carrier, or transmission method is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and notifying us if you believe an account, order, or payment has been compromised.
15Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent, and to appeal certain decisions. You may also have rights relating to targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or profiling.
- Update available account information through your account.
- Manage cookies through browser, device, privacy-extension, or available consent controls.
- Unsubscribe from optional marketing using the link or instructions in the message.
- Request assistance through our Contact Us page.
We may need to verify your identity, authority, account, email address, order, or request before acting. We may deny or limit a request when permitted by law—for example, when records are required for fraud prevention, taxes, disputes, legal claims, or another person’s rights.
16California and Other U.S. State Privacy Notice
Residents of states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of covered personal information; opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; limit some uses of sensitive information; appeal a denial; and receive equal service when exercising rights.
Value Yoga does not knowingly sell a standalone customer list for cash. Advertising, analytics, attribution, or cross-site technologies may be treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state laws.
You may submit a request through our Contact Us page. Where legally required and technically supported, we may also process recognized browser opt-out preference signals. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.
17EEA, UK, and Similar Privacy Rights
Where applicable, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, receive data portability, withdraw consent, and complain to a data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already performed lawfully.
You may object to direct marketing at any time. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests, although we may continue where compelling lawful grounds or legal claims apply.
18Children
Value Yoga is a general-audience ecommerce store and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
People who are not legally able to enter a purchase contract should use the store only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
19Third-Party Services and Links
The store may link to or integrate services operated by payment providers, carriers, suppliers, marketplaces, social networks, advertisers, analytics providers, and other third parties. Their privacy practices are controlled by their own notices and agreements.
We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices merely because a link, integration, product listing, ad, checkout option, or tracking feature appears on Value Yoga.
20Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our technology, providers, suppliers, products, laws, or business practices change. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. When required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
